Caramel apples are something we all love, a caramel apple cheesecake is something we will love even more. Here is an easy recipe that will make you a hit at every party or dinner you take it to. What are you waiting for? Lets bake!
Ingredients- Caramel Apples
6 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
4 Medium Apples (Washed, Cored, & Sliced)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Cloves
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Ingredients- Cheesecake
3 8oz. Cream Cheese Softened
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp Flour
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Ground Cloves
1 Tbsp Milk
3 Eggs
Directions
(For the crust I buy a box of Keebler Graham Cracker Crumb and follow their directions.)
Once the crust is done preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Beat cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar.
Add in flour, sour cream, vanilla, spices, and milk until smooth.
Pour batter onto crust and bake for 1 hour 20 min.
Let cool and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
When chilled pour caramel on top, then apples, sprinkle with cloves. (If you'd like add whipped cream)
Caramel Apple Directions
Melt butter in cast iron skillet, add apple slices
Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and cloves, cook until soft (not mushy)
In a med. mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar and cream, pour over apples
Bring to bubbly over med. heat, stirring constantly
Removed from heat, spoon out apples onto bowl/plate. Cool to room temp.
Place skillet w/ caramel sauce back on heat and cook until it thickens about 2 more min.
Remove from heat and put in jar to cool to room temp
